This is Halloween.

Halloween was a blast! I went over to Katie’s at around 2. We went to Tops in our costumes and chatted with Kelly. We bought some candy but we ended up chucking it at each other on the walk back because we didn’t want to eat too much before trick-or-treating. We started at around 5:30 when the sun went down and got done with her street at 6ish. We got a ton of candy. Then we drove over to the Foley’s house, friends of Katie’s family, and went trick-or-treating there, in the ghetto. We got a bunch more candy. We watched TV and etc. and now I’m home. Nothing really special, but nothing ultra-horrible happened either. It was just fun. I took a few pictures of Katie and I and I’ll post them later.

I have decided that I won’t use my computer until I have cleaned my room and it is fixed. It’s just too frustrating. I can’t read freaking anything on the screen and it’s getting on my nerves. Right now I’m on the downstairs Mac. I guess I’ll have to clean my room tomorrow, because the old template is saved on that computer and without it I guess you’re eyes will just have to deal.

Darn computer!

Half the fonts on my computer are missing from applications. The files are there, they just won’t show up anywhere. These fonts include half the default fonts that the computer NEEDS. So now most of the text is pixilated and hard to read in every application. I want to ask my dad, but I can’t do that until I clean my room. But I still need to clean Hoover’s room. And do my homework. Halloween is tomorrow!

Yesterday and Today

photo[yesterday]Check out the shoe! I broke the shoelace and I was determined to find a new way to keep my shoes one, and I succeeded.

School was pretty meh. I got my science test back, 98! But they shortened the periods and put a assembly at the end of the day. An election assembly. They had a representative for the democratic, republican, and independent parties. The whole thing sucked, I hate politics. Boring!

I wore red, which was part of red ribbon week, so I got 2 fireballs. I freaking burned my mouth, but they were good.

I had BYT afterschool and we had a pizza party. We didn’t have any projects to do so I worked on my math homework.

Katie came over. So did Chelsea. Then we picked up Dinah. Where did we go? The Haunted Walk Through the Corn. It was pretty intense. They made me go first because I’m the only one that doesn’t get scared by that kind of stuff. So Katie stood behind me and freaking choked be when she got scared because she’d pull on my hood. I told her to cut it out, so she punched me in the back when she held onto my sweatshirt. Oye. Chelsea chickened out and didn’t go through. It wasn’t that bad actually, I was startled a few times. But they were all like crying by the end and they ended up running the rest of the way out, very funny. Afterwards we bought fudge and drove home. I was tired afterwards, that’s why I didn’t write. Not that I have to explain myself, this is my journal. Oye!

photo[today] School was nice. I got my math test back- 15/15! And I got 8/8 on my longterm assignment. I really got 7/8 but I did so well on one part that everyone else did bad at so she gave me a bonus point, yay! PE was fun. Dinah was the only one that actually participated today, Katie and Chelsea decided to be marked unprepared. Dinah and I kicked butt, but we lost anyways. I caught a few passes and made a touchdown. It was a good game. Today in social studies I voted. I voted for Kerry, just because I don’t like how Bush is handling things right now. Hey, I can’t believe I forgot, I dressed as a pirate today! I wore my hat and eye patch all day! It was really hot though. I I went to Rite Aid with Kayla to buy batteries and the dude there said to me, “Ahoy pirate! Where’s your boat? What about your parrot? And you’re sword. Leave and don’t come back until you get ‘em!” I was so annoyed by him, he was rude. Rude. I don’t like rude people. But whatcha gonna do?

Liz went to a dance at her school today so I went to dinner with mom and dad at Zebb’s. I had a burger, as usual. Afterwards we got ice cream at Abotts, yum.

Guess who that is in the picture!?

Check out the Llama Song!

I’m tired.

I’m out at 11 and it’s a freaking schoolnight!

Just spent a few hours at Dinah’s house with Katie. Got back at 10:45. Neither Dinah’s nor Katie’s parents liked that very much, but what are you gonna do? Awesome night, let me start at the beginning. Today in PE Katie tells me that we should go on a haunted hayride tonight and we invited Dinah too. So when I got home from school I looked up a bazillion different hayrides, but none were open on Wednesdays. So Katie said we should buy a pumpkin from Tops and carve it at Dinah’s. We called Dinah and told her we were coming over with a pumpkin. Then I recorded a message on Katie’s phone. More later. So we went to Tops to get a pumpkin, but the only one’s they had were either huge and lumpy or rotten. So I go to Katie, “We should carve something else, like a watermelon.” Katie looked at me and I looked back. Then we ran to the produce section and got a baby watermelon. We named it Jacob, after our cashier. We drove to Dinah’s and showed her our “pumpkin”. So she ran and got some knives, a bowl, a big plastic spoon, and a roll of paper towels. We carved it into a classic jack-o-lantern, except it was a watermelon of course. We ate most of the insides, but the rest we put down the disposal. Ready for this? Watermelon, $5. Knives, $10. Plastic bowl, $7. Spoon, $3. Roll of paper towels, $2. Making a watermelon into a jack-o-lantern instead of a pumpkin? Priceless. Ah, good times. Afterwards her babysitter took us to Blockbuster to get a scary movie. What’s the scariest movie here?… I’d have to say Sick… Okay, let’s rent it. *reads the back… Uh, let’s take it down a notch… How about Saved? So we watched a movie about pregnant Christians, ooo, scary. Afterwards we discussed how our “group” of friends is breaking up. The only people that’ll be left are me, Katie, and Dinah, mabybe Michaela. It’s sad. Then we went home. It was pretty fun. Now for some insiders that no one will understand but us.

You’re a fucking idiot. -Katie

Katie’s new ring: Hello Katie, your phone is ringing. -Lanni

So yah, we used a watermelon instead of a pumpkin for our jack-o-lantern.

Lanni- Dude your house is big. How many floors?
Dinah- 3
Lanni- Is that legal?

Gumball bastard.

No, I’m not okay! I just crashed my van into Jesus!

Hey Lanni, there’s your boyfriend, Joe Banker! -Kaite

And that is why we have no friends.

Music

photoI’m absolutely in love with this one part of the song “When I am Silent” that my choir is singing. The words are simple, “Spinning and twirling and spinning and twirling”. It’s the way it’s sung. The triple things. I can’t read music, so I have no idea what they are called, but I like ‘em.

My other favorite song: O Fortuna [the link will download the mp3 to your disk, and it's free]. It’s in Latin, and I love it mucho. Mostly because it sounds so freaking cool. But what I really like is the english translation. Amazing.

O fortune, like the moon ever changing, always rising, then declining, hateful life treats us badly, then with kindness, making sport with our desires, causing power and poverty alike, to melt like ice. Dread fate who makes adversity and fickle health always turn to nothing, in the dark and secretly against me you work; how though your trickery my naked back is turned to you unarmed. Good fate and strength from me are always on duty. Come now without delay pluck the strings. Since by fate the strong are overthrown, all ye weep with me.

Embarrassingly enough, I’ve taken a notice to more classical music lately (Motzart, Beethoven, etc.). Have you ever actually listened to the stuff? It’s so confusing, yet beautiful. It tells a story. I’m beginning to sound like my old freaking music teacher. Oye.

Made the switch.

After discovering I could “skin” my OS9 Mozilla browser, I have offically switched from IE to Mozilla. There’s no turning back now, I already imported my bookmarks and filled in the auto fill form. Although, I still love Camino more than anything in the world. Tabbed browsing rocks!

Blogger is so much nicer in Mozilla! I just noticed that I have a bazillion more options. Edit HTML, compose, bold, italics, links, blockquotes, left, right… AHH! I never had this many options in IE. It was just post and draft. That’s it. Hey, the spellcheck even works! I’m in heaven, freaking heaven.

Jokes and etc.

photoSorry for the lack of photos, the digital camera batteries were dead and I was to lazy to change them.

Ready for some really awful jokes? You better be!

One day, Kermit Jagger goes into a bank because he needs a loan. He asks the teller and is directed to Ms. Patty Wick. He tells Ms. Wick that he needs a loan. She tells him (rather haughtily) that he needs some sort of collateral because they don’t go loaning frogs money every day.
So, Kermit reaches into his bag and hands Ms. Wick a small glass elephant. “What is this?” she asks. “We can’t give you a loan using *this* as collateral!” Kermit tells Ms. Wick to go talk to the bank manger.
So, Ms. Wick goes to the manager and asks him why she should take the glass elephant as collateral. The manager replies……
“It’s a knicknack, Patty Wick. Give the frog a loan. His old man’s a Rolling Stone.”

Two cows are standing in a pasture.
The first cow says, “Have you heard about this new mad cow disease?”
The second cow says, “I don’t care, I’m a helicopter!”
