Open late, not so great..

I got a double on a strike out (seriously) and I hit one into right center, but only made it to first (but I made a run by stealing every base). Now I have to go to bed, not. I have to finish my homework. I’m changing the time of the post so it goes with the right day, but it’s really 12:36am right now.

Lanni: Nice hit Liz! Sorry, but I have to go and write 8 lines of iambic pentameter!
Liz: Whatever.

Lanni: C’mon Dad, let’s go. I don’t have all day! I need to write some iambic pentameter!
Dad: Okay okay, I get it. You have to write some iambic pentameter.
Lanni: Yeah, that’s right, iambic pentameter. Iambic pentameter. I really just like saying that. Iambic pentameter.
Dad: Shut up!

Lanni: Sorry Mom, I can’t do the dishes right now, I have to go write 8 lines of iambic pentameter.
Mom: I heard.

Chocked full of… crap really.

Geez, I had a busy day today. First I got up and leisurely watched the beginning of Anchorman. Then my mom got up and took me to get my hair dye. First we stopped at Taco Bell for lunch. After sitting down to eat, guess who came in? My dad! It was kinda weird. He was doing the recycling and decided to go out for mexican for lunch, but the mexican place was closed for Memorial Day so he went to Taco Bell instead. After eating my mom and I continued on our journey to the mall and we bought the dye. They didn’t have any fuchsia so I settled for purple. Then we went home and for 2 hours we bleached my hair as I watched parts of Bruce Almighty, which my sister had on when we got home. Then my mom dyed my hair purple while I watched the end of Anchorman. As we were doing that Marg from down the street came over bring a sheet she wanted typed up for her class (she teaches art to elementary kids). So I did that after my hair was done. Yeah, so it’s purple now. It majorly stained the tub and my mom bleached it so now our bathroom smells like a pool. Seriously. I went upstairs and was like, Dude, when did we get a pool? Uh, yeah so then I did my health term project and ate dinner. Now I’m here and I am planning on doing my math homework due Wednesday because I also have an 8 line poem of iambic pentameter due Wednesday, which I have not started.

My new iMac is so cool! I bought it a CompUSA yesterday with my dad. I brought it home and got to work. First I had to put all my files (minus my music files) onto zip disks. Then I plugged in the necessary cables and turned it on. It’s so wonderful, it hardly makes any noise, the graphics are beautiful, and it’s lightning fast. First I set up the OS and then I installed some programs (AIM, GraphicConverter, Firefox, Yahoo Messenger, Acquisition, TextWrangler, etc.). I am officially in love with my new iMac, seriously. I’m so so sad that I have to get rid of my old Bondi Blue iMac. It was so good to me, it really was. I still love it and I always will.

I’m [supposed to be] dying my hair fuchsia today. I better go ask my mom when we’re going to buy the dye.

Opps.– FIXED

photoToday was Springfest! I went to school with my iPod and speakers, my wallet, a deck of cards, my sunglasses, and two pens. When I got to school it was business as usual, we played cards in the cafeteria before homeroom. I lost, like usual. At 7:43 (!), I went to homeroom, actually, I ran to homeroom. I was a minute late but my teacher oddly enough didn’t care if anyone was late today. After homeroom the sophomore class went to the upper gym where we listened to the student council speeches. Gabe’s was the best, it was really funny. After that we went back to homeroom to vote. I voted, and everyone but one person I voted for won. After this we went to the auditorium to listen to Scott Greenberg, a motivational speaker. He was great. And after that we moved over to the gym again for the Knowledge Bowl, which is like a trivia contest between the students and faculty. The faculty won. Then we all were free to do whatever we pleased. There were booths set up behind the school, so we headed out there. Katie, Abby, and Chelsea wanted to go to the middle school and see old teachers (ugh), so I stayed with Dinah. First we stood in line for 10 minutes to buy Springfest shirts. They’re black and say “Got Springfest?” on the front and a cow on the back. Lame, I know, but whatever. Then I purchased a slice of pizza, as did Dinah, and I got some tickets so I could get some Dr Pepper. I got two cans and shared some with Dinah. Then we just hung around for awhile talking to people and such. Later I got my yearbook. It’s nice. I got it signed and later it was time to go back to homeroom. And after that was the faculty talent show. They sang and danced to “It’s My Party”. And Josh Ouzer did some magic tricks. Mr. Engel told Josh that he had to do whatever trick that he could come up with. Mr. Engel instructed him to do a simple card trick (pick a card, etc.), but while in a straitjacket, and the card had to reappear somewhere else. So Josh took off his shirt (a tradition), put on the straitjacket, and had Mr. Engel pick a card. Then the card went back into the deck and the deck went into Mr. Engel’s pocket. Josh then escaped from the straitjacket in less than a minute (by dislocating his shoulders) and popped a balloon above his head, and out came the deck of cards. And then Josh found the right card. Amazing. After that I went home.

On the bus ride home it started pouring 2 minutes before it got my my neighborhood. It was pouring so hard that Driver John actually dropped us off in front of our houses. This hasn’t happened since 5th grade. I was amazing, and glad that I didn’t get very wet. At 3:30pm my dad and I drove to pick up Liz from school so we could finally go see The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy! When we got to the theater we went in to purchase tickets, but the ticket lady said it wasn’t showing at 3:55pm. Turns out they change the times on Friday, so the paper I looked at the day before was for last week. I was sad, but then we bought a newspaper and discovered it was playing in Canidagua, 20 minutes away. So we drove there and bought tickets. The movie was so good! There were so many good parts, but I can only quote one:

Arthur: Normality? We can talk about normality until the cows come home.
Trillian: What is normality?
Ford: What is home?
Zaphod: What’re cows?

The movie was hilarious, just like the book. The two are pretty similar, but there were definitely some differences. After the movie went to Chili’s for dinner and we all got ribs. On the way home we quoted our favorite lines from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

I finally figured out that I can post photos directly from Flickr, isn’t that cool? So I thought I’d post a classic photo of my darling Hoover.

Globalfest, NOT.

Springfest is tomorrow! It should be better than last year, being that I am no longer a freshman.

Also tomorrow, afterschool though, I’m going to see The Hitchhiker’s Guide of the Galaxy with my entire family at 3:55pm. I’m so excited! I hope it is as excellent as the book.

Jeopordy

KenJen is losing. He came in last the first day, second the second day, and now he’s in second again. I really don’t think he’ll make it, but I’m not giving up hope. Grr, Brad is mean and I hate him.

UPDATE: He came in second. He won $500,000. I cried.

sad face television

Stuff, yo.

Liz won her game against Hilton, 21-12. It rained off and on the whole time (I hate Rochester!) which majorly sucked. I think it’s the last game I’m keeping score at because it’s her last home game.

CSI: Miami
- Hagen committed suicide
- Calleigh resigned
- Yelina fled to Brazil with her thought to be dead husband and her son

Las Vegas
- Sam resigned
- Nessa and Delinda left for London, pursed by a suspicious man
- Mike is leaving to go on tour with his Auntie Gladys Knight
- Danny’s father died
- Mary left for Hawaii with her boyfriend

NCIS
- Kate was shot in the head and died
- Gibbs resigned

family softball sports television

Plan for this week

Monday: Nothing.

Tuesday: My mom’s picking me up from school at 1:45pm. She’s taking me to Athletic Outlet to get a new zipper hoodie and a number on my softball jersey. After that it’s to Liz’s double header (I’m obviously keeping score). At 7 I’m walking the dogs next door.

Wednesday: I think I’m hanging out with Kate after school, but I’m not certain.

Thursday: Becky (Remember her? Think BYT) is picking me up after school and driving me to Brighton Rec. I’m going to help write our grant final write-up. Then she’s driving me home.

Friday: After school my dad is taking me and my sister to see The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, finally. Afterwards we are going out for dinner.

ACK! I have so much homework to do this week and so much other stuff to do. Ugh.
