as you can tell in the screenshots, i’ve been working on a new site design since mid-october, and i finally have it the way i want it. the coding is going to be crazy since i’m going to have a lot of different kinds of positioning, but that’s not what this post is about.

i can’t decide on a color! so i’d appreciate it if you helped me out by commenting with the number of the one you like the best. thanks!

B. well, it’s official: i’m a criminal. i stole a very large piece of black poster board from wegmans tonight. now you may be wondering to yourself, how does one steal something so very big without any one noticing? it was easy (and accidental, i’d like to add). i simply went through the checkout holding it, and walked out. as liz would say, skillz that pay the billz.

geneseo mike and i just spent 45 minutes trying to solve our rubik’s cubes with the center pieces switched. we seriously sat in my room trying different ways of doing it and epically failing for forty-five friggin’ minutes.

then i googled it and found the algorithm: M E M’ E’
how obnoxious is that? 45 minutes spent trying to figure something out that ends up having a four letter algorithm that takes 5 seconds to do.

mike and i had a good laugh about that, and then tried to play it off like doing that solve was super hard when megan came in. we even said “we’re like geniuses” at the exact same time.

today is one of those days when i really want to post, but i have nothing to say. so bear with me, this could get ugly.

1. chuck was AWESOME last night. guh, i love this show.

2. i have a 93 in physics. this is considerably better than the grade i had at midterm time, which was a C.

3. i need to go to wegmans. i haven’t had carrots since last monday. this is unheard of.

4. i’m 98% sure i’m going back to brighton this weekend for some unfinished business. and the hair.

5. omigosh, in tonight’s episode of ncis when tony mentioned that his fingers were finging, i almost died. and then the adrenaline shot? and the comment about the machine going to 11? it was like fandom overload! simpsons, pulp fiction, spinal tap. amazing.

6. 2 and 1/2 more weeks of the semester left! this college things isn’t so bad, we get a month off for winter break. and i get to work!

7. i have listened to all my postal service songs on loop five times. that’s five hours of postal service in one day. i’m tempted to hit the “pause sumissions” button on my audioscrobbler, kind of like when i listened “i know all the presidents in order” 244 times in the span of four days.

8. jen, i used the icon. hahaha, it makes me laugh every time.

okay, i have a question. it’s about geography, and wikipedia is just making me more confused.

is the united kingdom a country, or the name of a group of countries? i always thought england, scotland, wales, and northern ireland were separate countries, but i stumbled upon something that made me think otherwise.

also, is great britian the same thing as the united kingdom? is britian the same thing as great britian?

so on saturday i decided i’d start watching the episodes of chuck on nbc.com, because the previews always made me laugh, and i was bored. i absolutely loved it, but that’s not the point of this post. the subject of this post is actually the opening theme music. i instantly adored it, and filed away in my brain that i wanted that song.

so on friday i bought some albums at record archive, like i said in yesterday’s post. one of them was a cake album called “comfort eagle” (it was on the list). a few minutes ago i ripped it onto my computer and upon listening to it, and i found that i instantly loved the song “short skirt / long jacket” (it now resides on the ‘awesome’ playlist).

well, i’m sure you’ve already figured out what it took several minutes of wikipediaing to find out: it’s the same song. i just thought it was a fairly awesome coincidence.

today was supposed to be jam-packed, but it ended up being a fairly regular saturday. i went to record archive and hung out with mike for a few hours (and yes, i also went yesterday and got three cd’s: one tmbg EP, one cake album, and my splurge — a not-used modest mouse album). after that the plan was to see a movie, but he had to take a raincheck for family reasons.

after that i was supposed to hang out with kate at my house to play rummikrub, but her cellphone broke and she ended up sleeping for a majority of the day.

and after that i was supposed to hang out with stabby, and that actually worked out fine. we made pizza while watching an episode of “sabrina,” then watched hairspray (i think that would be my 8th time seeing it), played a good game of scrabble, and drove to wegmans. fairly typical night for us.

but, the movie with mike has been rescheduled for tomorrow at 1pm, so not all is lost.

i am only making this list to appease my mother. don’t feel obliged to get me anything for the holidays. seriously.
