working undercoverso becky emailed me at noon asking if i could work at the summer camp activities fair at 6:30 tonight. i of course said yes, being the very dependable minimum wage worker that i am. but then at 2:57 she called and asked if i could work after school too, because someone had just called in sick. keep in mind that after school starts at 3:00. well i of course said yes (since all i was doing was packaging some ebay stuff and bumming around). after school was super fun, and the kids were pretty well-behaved. i was in the homework room for most of the afternoon, which is not as awesome as the gym, but it’s generally less crazy down there (definitely a good thing). plus it helped me brush up on my 8s times tables. the summer camp fair was all right. i set up a table with a bunch of brighton rec. flyers and brochures and stuff, and then answered five billion questions from parents. but it wasn’t too bad. i got to see a lot of kids i haven’t seen in awhile, who by the end of the night had spent most of the time standing around my table telling me the randomest things. kids are insane. |
