Omg those are so adorable! I love getting artwork from kids, it makes me feel special. Yusuf’s robot is amazing! What is it like working with autistic children? I’ve never had experience with them.

i started a wall in the hallway my room is connected to for all the artwork i’ve received. so adorable : )

autistic kids are pretty much the best. the things is, the autism spectrum is so large that no two autistic kids have the same limitations or skills. some don’t talk, and some are almost completely functional. but i love ‘em, they’re so funny and carefree.

“lanni, listen to me ROAR!”
“wow, that’s great, very ferocious!”
“it’s even better if you put your fingers in your ears… it’s louder, try it!”

actually, autistic savants are very rare (less than 10%). but you hear about them the most for obvious reasons.
