haven’t done any random linkage posts in awhile, so here you go.

(1) Kermit and Christian Bale: Separated At Birth? a really hilarious/awesome/weird ONTD post.

(3) i am neurotic. a collection of neuroses people send in. a few of mine have been on there, and one is currently on the homepage.

(4) FFFFOUND! image bookmarking. pretty much a collection of awesome images found across the interwebs, presented in a dynamic way that can keep you looking around the site for hours.

(5) (The Customer Is) Not Always Right. hilarious quotes from the workplace involving customers that aren’t exactly the brightest crayons in the box.

(6) The Abstract Art Titlegenerator. this can seriously be used for everything, and can be quite entertaining to reload over and over.

(7) File2HD. download any file from any site. i use it to yoink music on myspace pages that isn’t available for download.

i was just informed that my rabbit, hoover, passed away today. we got him on october 11, 2004 and he has been one of my most favorite pets. i’m at a loss for words, so i’ll just say that i’m going to miss him very very much.

so, my nineteenth birthday is september 10. to quell people from repeatedly asking me what i want, i’ve assembled a list.

word of advice: if your professor has a ridikkulus polish accent, don’t take calculus 3 with him in the morning, because when he says “vector,” you are going to think he said “breakfast,” and you’ll repeatedly be reminded that you didn’t have any and you wish you had.

things i did today:

went to class:
today i had education 214, calculus 3, and math 141. the education class is going to be a bit of work, the calc class is going to be a lot of work, and the math class is going to be mad easy. basically. oh, and my professors are all really awesome this semester. finally.

moved furniture:
i spent an hour or so moving furniture around the common room… and then i moved it all back. seems there is only one way to set up all our furniture (one futon, one couch, and three chairs). haha that was a waste of my time.

went to sundance:
after class megan and i went to sundance, the textbook store. she had to return a book, i had to buy one. you see, i went to sundance last week, hoping to get my books before classes started so i wouldn’t have to wait in the hour-long line that appears there at the beginning of every semester. but they didn’t have it then, so the guy, steve, told me to come back when classes start. which i did. but that meant i had to wait in the line. for an hour and fifteen minutes. when it was my turn, i got steve as my cashier again, and again they did not have it. but steve was really nice about it. he said next time to call ahead, and if they have it, to call him when i’m by the back entrance, and he’ll let me in (bypassing the line). i think i love steve.

hung around:
and that’s pretty much what i did for the rest of the night. watched some the office with my suitemates plus eric (sruthi’s friend). rubik’s cubed with jess from upstairs. dealt with an exploded dr pepper can with sruthi (ugh). it’s going to be a good year.

the bed and walls. lacking decoration, due to the fact that it’s the second day and all.

so… i’m in geneseo! i moved in this morning and most of today has consisted of organizing and reorganizing. i’m in an 8-person suite, and sruthi is my roommate. our room is about the size of my room at home… which is not good. it’s so cramped in here, it’s insane. but whatever. we have a common room full of furniture and stuff, so i can hang out in there too if i feel claustrophobic, haha. but not now, because it’s eleven on a saturday night…

anyways, it’s been nice seeing all my friends again. my other friends from 4 south are right up the stairs, so it’s a good setup. oh but i’m going to miss my family! love you mom and dad! and liz. <3

holy mackerel — i’m moving back to geneseo in like 16 hours! i’m really really excited to see my friends, but i’m really really mad i’m going to have a planner full of homework assignments very soon. oh well. but yeah, i’m all packed up now, minus my plants, my macbook, and my manatee.

i probably won’t have time to post until after i’m completely moved into my new dorm room, so see you guys on the other side! (did i mention that this year i’m living in GENESEE AGC3 — say that out loud to fully appreciate the awesomeness.)

ETA: i have officially seen 95 all-new movies this year. considering that my goal was 100 movies in all of 2008, this is awesome. and sad. but mostly awesome.

today was spent at four of the roc city’s finest hangouts:

(1) world hair. i got a haircut, obvs.

(2) utter clutter. your basic thrift shop, but messier. it’s owned by a lady named sara that likes to give free stuff to you on your birthday if you make friends with her. and i do advise that you do, because she’s been known to overcharge rude people and undercharge people she likes : )

(3) aaron’s alley. a hippie shop that sells… hippie stuff. i got a new tie-dye, liz got new hemp bracelets. i actually spent most of the time on the floor looking through boxes of tie-dye and then i spent even more time refolding the shirts. someone actually thought i worked there.

(4) record archive. everyone knows this is my favorite hangout of all hangouts. just this week i’ve been there twice and i’ve bought nine new albums. today they were filming their new tv commerical, and they taped liz and i singing the record archive jingle and laughing our heads off. it was a good time.
