wow, can’t believe i forgot to mention this yesterday, but i have officially moved into my new bedroom, aka liz’s old bedroom. it’s a bit smaller than the batcave was, but i’m fine with that. i will post photos as soon and i get everything how i want it.

as for work, it was good. well, mostly good. you see, the girl i babysitted a couple months ago, britt, is a doll when she’s by herself. but when you put her with her friends, she’s a totally different kid. so when i was in the homework room, she was there with two of her friends and they were playing some sort of pretending game. i asked them several times to stop yelling and running and touching the senior citizen’s christmas decorations, and they weren’t listening. so i ended up yelling at them (loud enough for becky to hear, i might add) and kicking them out of the homework room. when she was getting her stuff together, britt said to me, “where’s the lanni from last year? i liked her much better.” oh my god it was awful. i never wanted to be the counselor that is always yelling, but i think that’s who i’m turning into. i feel terrible. but becky said i did the right thing, so i don’t feel bad about what i did. i just don’t like turning into the counselor the kids hate.

i’m having a bad day. an epically bad day.

1. i’m still sick.
2. i forgot to eat breakfast, even though i got up early by accident and had time to kill.
3. since i didn’t eat breakfast, i forgot to brush my teefs.
4. when it came time to go to anthropology, i grabbed my bag and left, forgetting to actually put my notebooks and folders in for anthro and calc.
5. they served tator tots instead of french fries at lunch. i hate tator tots.
6. i still didn’t get any mail. it’s lonely here.
7. megan and i got to the union early to play guitar hero 3, so we waited at a table. when the desk opened to sign it out, some guy managed to get in line before us and signed it out first.
8. marie attacked me when i was reading a sign, and alexa didn’t warn me in time.
9. after laying on the ground of my dorm room because i felt so crappy, i got up to go to the drinking fountain and alexa attacked me the second i opened up the door. bad timing.
10. i managed to get stabbed in the face somehow between the union and right now, and i have a scratch on my cheek.

this list is to be continued. i’m 99.9% sure that my day isn’t going to get any better. it hasn’t gotten better, but it also hasn’t gotten worse (although i have to study for my big calc test right now, and i keep get distracted).

i was very tempted to cheer myself up by purchasing this awesome rubik’s cube t-shirt, but i don’t think going through my perpetually diminishing savings is going to really help much.

arg, where did the weekend go. i hung out with stabby, drove liz’s friends around, went to zebb’s, attended ham jam, watched a rerun of snl, drove to blockbuster, watched pride and prejudice again (*sigh*), did some multi-lit homework, watched tv, made a pizza, and read some hp.

and that was it.

and tomorrow i’m going to school.

it makes me sad that my day was so boring that i decided i’d do an old “this day in history,” and then after reading a science joke that i had posted on march 4th in 2004, i had to wikipedia the punchline.

i think i hypochondriac (i know, it’s not a verb) too much. i keep thinking about how i could perhaps have a brain problem. i kind of want to know that i have one, because at least then i would know that my annoying tendencies occur for a reason, not just because i’m annoying. i’m mainly talking about my unableness to sit still, or to not fidget, or to not procrastinate constantly, or to not be able to sleep, or to not start new tasks before finishing old ones, or to not be so forgetful about everything, or to not listen when i’m spoken to. these things annoy me, these things annoy people around me. yet they are all perfectly normal. that’s why i don’t understand why i’m so worried about this.

i have like the worst cold in the world. that makes two in a month. it’s like i’m wearing a sign that says, “hey you, yeah you, come sneeze on me so i can get sick once again.”

ah yes, i finished my econ paper. it’s titled… the cola war and it’s about, check this, the cola war. it’s 8 pages long exactly (took a bit of streching, but it’s all good) and it needs to be proofread, but it’s written and i’m relieved. feeling goood. ’specially since i have three days to spare. below is the clipart i made for the cover.

sooooo, i won an united states achivement academy award, for, wait for it… spanish. how crazy is that? mrs. palmer nominated me, she’s like the coolest teacher ever. i had her two years and she was easily the best teacher i ever had. not only was it fun and relaxed, but i also learned a lot. now if only economics was that easy… (oh, and the paper deadline was pushed back two days, because they decided they would like to cram one more test in there, great)

my knee has been bothering me ever since last night. either it’s going to rain like hell or i strained it playing dodgeball (most likely). man, i love that game.

well, i got up at 6am, because it seems that 10 hours of sleep is all i can handle. after feeling generally crappy for an hour, i went back to bed (hoping my voice would come back, it seems i lost it overnight). at 9am i woke up again and had some breakfast, but i was again bored out of my mind and i felt even worse, so i went back to sleep and i slept on and off until 3. after that i spent the rest of the day cleaning the garage. a very productive day. not.
