glitterful

My dad came home at 10am this morning so my mom and I went to the airport to pick him up. He’s majorly jet-lagged, poor daddy. He slept most of the day. My mom took me to the school for my softball pictures, but tuns out they were cancelled so my mom took me to Wendy’s for lunch (they happened to be giving out free Frostys, yay!). And then we went to Jo Ann’s in which I bought 5 packages of beads, a tub of glitter, and some duck plasticware. Afterwards we went across the street to Goodwill and I bought a pin that says “I Y Quarter Horses” and 4 spoons. Then we went home. I watched Andromeda, and I’m sad because next week is the last episode ever. Later my mom and I went to The King and I to pick up the takeout we ordered and across the street we got some movies from Blockbuster (Oceans 12 and Speed). When we got home we ate dinner and watched Speed. I made [something] for [someone] because May [XX] is their birthday. It’s really awesome, but I still have to buy one part for it tomorrow after my softball game at 1pm. I think Liz comes home tomorrow too.

Friday the 13th

Today, being Friday the 13th, was one of the best days I’ve had in a long time. Nothing special happened, it’s just nothing was bad.

I got up leisurely and took a nice long hot shower because my dad wasn’t home and I didn’t have to be out by 6. I got dressed and went to school. Dinah went to get some gum from the school store and I went with her and discovered they now sell Bubblicious, my favorite gum, because Dinah requested it. And they had my favorite flavor too. In Spanish we didn’t really do any work and had no homework. In health we discussed LSD, which got Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds stuck in my head, which isn’t bad because I actually like that song. And in social studies I got my test back (97) and the rest of class was spent in the computer lab doing schoolisland homework (now I don’t have to do it this weekend!). Then in science I got my gradesheet, and I have a perfect 100. Seriously. I had a 98 before but I just took a big unit test and got a 104, which brought my average up those extra 2 points. In math we had a subsitute, which meant we didn’t do any work and had no homework. For my free period I went out to lunch with Katie and we got ice cream with jimmies afterwards (I got jimmies!). During PE we played floor hockey inside (so much better than outside, there is absolutely no shade out there), but with two balls. I played defense of course. Every time we did something good (like score a goal), we all gave each other a high five or a handshake. And on the sidelines we sang that hockey song that ends with yelling “CHARGE!”. And in English we read from Macbeth, which means I sat there doing nothing. BEST DAY OF SCHOOL EVER. And after school I watched the episode of ER I taped from last night and then took a nap until 8:30pm. After that my mom and I went to Zebb’s for dinner. And then we watched Numbers, which I taped while we ate dinner. I’m sleeping in my parent’s waterbed tonight because my mom wants to sleep in mine. She likes my bed better than hers, which is odd because waterbeds are so cool!

Tomorrow my RAD dad is coming home from California at 10am, so I’ve got to get up early : )

Let me go on

Liz is going to NYC tomorrow morning at 4am! Which means an entire Liz free day. I’m gonna miss her though, I always do.

Katie finally told Abby about Brett (my “boyfriend”), but Abby just got confused.

Lanni: I’m home mom!
Mom: Lanni, I have some bad news. The TV died.
Lanni: NNNNOOOO!!!!  *falls to knees sobbing uncontrollably*

My new friend

Guess what I’m writing this with right now!? Well, obviously my keyboard, but guess who my keyboard’s new right-hand man is? His name is MY NEW OPTICAL APPLE MOUSE! My mouse finally crapped out on me so my mom took me to CompUSA to get a new one, and it’s not like they even make mine anymore, so my mom had no choice but to buy me one.

Actually, nothing.

The mouse downstairs doesn’t work. And mine is being mean and won’t move very well. It isn’t even my mouse, mine broke last year for no reason. Gah.

I had one thing for homework today, and it took me 22 minutes. Actually, it’s mostly because I had one test today and 2 tomorrow.

TV shows I watch:
 - Andromeda
 - The Simpsons
 - King of the Hill
 - Malcolm in the Middle
 - Family Guy
 - Law and Order: CI
 - Crossing Jordan
 - Las Vegas
 - CSI: Miami
 - NCIS
 - Scrubs
 - House
 - Law and Order: SVU
 - Revelations
 - CSI
 - ER
 - Joan of Arcadia
 - JAG
 - Numbers
[isn't that insane? I need to stop watching so much TV]

I need ______.

Ugh, I hate summer. I hate the heat. The sun is okay, but the heat just kills me. Kate and I laid outside in the shade today during our free and listened to my iPod. It was nice, but it was still freaking hot out. And then we had PE–outside. Floor hockey is a dangerous sport. One stupid freshmen was so violent and kept trying to knock me over. And her face accidently ran into my stick. Not even kidding. I was holding the stick and turned around and her face was there. She didn’t like that much.

Lanni: Liz! Stop touching my lemon!

We rock our tie-dyed socks

Today I had a softball game. We won, 8-1. This was my first game of the season, and it was a good one. I made a RBI and also a run. No plays though because I played 4 out of 7 innings and the ball never even came near me because our infielders are superb and our pitcher struck most of the players out. It’s going to be a good season, I can feel it. I was excited for my pink team shirt today, but they haven’t come in yet. So we’re dealing with blue ones for now. And we don’t even have enough of the blue ones, so I am stuck with a coach’s shirt (gray with blue sleeves, no team name/player number). It’s actually quite funny. My coach yelled at us to put on our hats so we look like a team, yet I’m standing there in a gray shirt and green shorts on (we’re supposed to wear black ones, but I don’t like mine) and white and blue baseball socks (we’re supposed to wear black tie-dyed ones, but they won’t stay up). But I switched my hat from my blue one to their black ones, because I am a team player.

Read my story that I wrote for science. I am a egotistical carbon atom.

Community service may be fun…

Today I got up at 7:20am. On a Saturday. By choice. Today was Spring Clean-up Day. Liz and I arrived there at 9am and got some Krispie Creme doughnuts. We waited until 9:30am and then loaded onto the buses. The middle schoolers were supposed to go on one bus and the high schoolers on another, but Mr. Thomas said it was okay for Liz to come with me. We drove to the first house we were cleaning. It was actually really clean already, but there were some little things to be done. I pulled weeds while Liz held the bag because she’s allergic to grass (although she sneezed all the time anyway). A half an hour later we went to the next house where I pulled more weeds. And then the third house which was the worst. The lady that owned the house only wanted the back done and there wasn’t much grass, mostly trees and dirt. So I picked up sticks and stuff. She had us thrown them all over the fence into this wooded area. Leon, Joey, and Andy spent the whole time beating a tree with a metal pole they found. The tree had fallen over on the fence and they were trying to get it off. Weirdos. After that we went back to the school and had pizza. My mom came and picked us up at 12:30pm and we went home.

Tomorrow I have a game at 1:30pm in Irondequoit. It’s my first game, my teams second. But the first was a scrimmage so I guess it is technically our first game.

Ugh, I have to do all my homework tomorrow.

Book 6 comes out June 15th!

And I just got paid

It’s finally friday! This week has gone by so slowly.

Promise the Whale Watch post by tomorrow. Liz took the camera so I can’t upload my photos yet.

Did you see the design site yet? New template plus much more, and everything validates perfectly.

My toes hurt.

Today Michaela and I hung out 8th period. Or at least for the majority of the period. First Michaela had her chorus lesson so I hung out in the room with her until it was over. Then we walked down the cafeteria to grab something to eat. I got a slice of pizza and a Dr Pepper. Michaela had already had lunch so she got a popsicle out of the vending machine. But the machine gave her two by mistake (they were stuck together), so she gave me the extra one. Then we went outside to bask in the wonderful sun. We sat on the steps and at our popsicles. Michaela called her ex Mike and somehow he ended up walking to the school and meeting up with Michaela. You see, he’s suspended for the rest of the year so he can’t come to school. Michaela promised she wouldn’t leave with him, but she did. Oi, Michaela. When will she learn?

Battle of Jaywalk All-stars cracks me up.

Me siento bien.

In gym class…
 — [muttering to self:] “I hope I don’t get put on a bad team. I’m always on the team that loses. Maybe it is because I’m on the team. Ohh. ”
 — “Alanna Maszerowski?!”
 — “PRESENT!!!!”

I guess you had to be there.

Today was the last meeting for BYT. Guess who came?! Becky! And her baby! Her baby is so adorable. I walked Becky down to the cafeteria and we talked and stuff and then I showed her the mural we made. But then she had to go. I’m planning on doing some more work around Brighton Rec so I’ll probably see her soon. After Becky left I went back upstairs and joined the meeting. We ate pizza and drank pop while we played pictionary on the board. I drew a sheep. Later we had leftover pizza so we took it down to the atrium (Brian grabbed a slice on the way) to give it to whoever wanted it. We walked outside to the front and two kids came up to us and asked if they could have some pizza. So we opened the box and the kids yelled, “PIZZA!” so we put the box down and ran just as a swarm of small children surrounded us. It was brutal. But we made it out safely.

Katie and I got ice cream from Abbot’s during lunch. It was awesome.

Dude, this sucks.

Today I made a schedule because I felt so stressed out. I find if I know how I’m going to use my time I can get things done better. And I did. I just finished my homework and the clock just struck 11pm. I even had time to go to practice tonight. Tomorrow is Thursday which means BYT and CSI. We’re having a party in BYT.

The painters came a few days ago and I bursted into tears last night for no reason. I’m such a weirdo.

Sorry about the design site guys, but I just haven’t had the time to fix everything yet. Does anyone know of some FTPs that I can use for free on either Mac OS9 or OSX? I use Transmit but I have to quit and re-login every 10 minutes because it isn’t registered, which is partly the reason why I haven’t finished.
