check out this cat macro my dad did. HILARIOUS.
oh, and did i mention that my opt-out form is nil? mrs. o’brien gave it to my gym teacher, and my gym teacher said she couldn’t do anything until the athletic director signed it. i went to see him and explained what was going on, and do you know what he said? “no way would i ever allow that.” turns out the old athletic director, who had allowed stuff like this before, retired at the end of last year. the new director is trying to eliminate the program completely, ergo i cannot opt out. but i’m not upset, i’m actually kind of glad. but this means i won’t be able to help out at the listening post like i hoped i’d be able to.
and today i hung out with kate (it’s been awhile). when i went to go pick her up from another person’s house, i forgot the house number that she had told me when i got on the street. so i drove around looking for a pay phone, and found one on the sidewalk in front of rite aid. so i got out of the car in the parking lot and ran across the snow-covered grass to the payphone. i’d like to mention at this point in the story that i had just taken a shower and my hair was wet, and i didn’t have a coat on, and i forgot to wear socks, and i was wearing pj pants (and not the flannel kind). and then i couldn’t remember kate’s cell phone number, so i called the wrong number once, but luckily it just said the number wasn’t in service. oh, did i mention that i was using a calling card number that requires me to enter 24 digits before it connects? believe it or not, this still doesn’t make me want to get a cell phone, i love when this happens. i’m not even being sarcastic. for realz.
oh, and i got to ring a gong at the japanese resturant we went to for liz’s birthday. it was awesome.
