so, what has been going on in lan’s life the past few days/weeks/months? more than you’d think.

1. remember when i posted about my mom telling me my dad and she were going to help me find a car, and i got really excited? well, turns out it was all a big joke. oh, my parents are hilarious, aren’t they? they give me a road map for my graduation present, have me look through a car classifieds section, and then say to my uncle, “oh yeah, she thinks she’s getting a car, but she’s not, HA HA HA.”

2. work is going well, but i’m never ever ever going to write about it here again (which sucks, because that is kind of what this thing is for, to vent). so, becky, my boss reads this (hey becky!), and she told my director, who in turn told everyone else at our camp. so then everyone like completely freaked out that day. so, no more work related stuff. perhaps i’ll say something like “work was fun today,” or “it rained during capture the flag today,” but nothing more than that.

3. lol, liz has been in boston for a week and i haven’t even posted about it. i guess it slipped my mind. well, liz is at tufts university for two weeks at a camp for kids that want to become veterinarians. we’ve texted and such, and she says she’s having a blast. i’m jealous to hear about all the cool animals she’s seen (owls and bunnies up close? too cute).

4. i have also been playing a lot of guitar hero (since liz is currently not home), which liz got for her playstation 2. i started off playing all the easy songs on quick play, but then i decided to try career mode. i named my band LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN. since i had been doing the easy songs for a few days, i jumped to the medium level, and after two days of playing, i beat the level. then i bought all the songs in the store with the money i made. then i played all of those on medium. after i had played everything (although i got mostly three stars, a few fours and two fives) and concluded that i would never finish a song on hard, i decided to do the easy level. that was fun, i got five stars on every single song, and i even got three perfect 100% songs, which give you five GOLD stars. very nice. i really really like this game.

5. PART FIVE OF THIS POST HAS BEEN SPLIT INTO IT’S OWN POST, BECAUSE IT’S PRETTY DAMN LONG.

so today was the last day of feb. recess camp (sad face?). the kids were unreasonably annoying today and long story short, we had to use the last punishment we had left: take away free time and replace it with a game no one likes. so we played overtake (a tag game with teams, you have to lap the other runner completely to win, it takes forever), which got them nice and tired out to the point were we had to stop because no one could run anymore, and considering they are kids, that was amazing.

i also played superchess (keith brought it in, so i’ll probably never play again), which is almost cooler than super scrabble, but less cool because i’m better at scrabble than chess.
