PhD in horribleness

so i watched dr. horrible’s sing-along blog today — OMG. so amazing.

Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog is a 40-minute, 3-part musical comedy produced for the Internet, telling the story of a low-rent supervillain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he’s too shy to talk to.

so it’s basically the best thing ever. it’s only available online (i bought it on the itunes music store, but you can watch it for free until next week on the official website), but it’s going to be released onto dvd, complete with lots of extras. so i will be buying that, yes indeed.

and did i mention it stars neil patrick harris? i adore him.

one two three

(1) geneseo has blocked sendspace, bittorrent, and limewire (and maybe others i don’t know about). this is like the worst ever. my list of things to download is growing far too long for my liking. seriously.

(2) i think it might be time for a new pair of slip-on vans.

(3) THE GIANTS WON!!!!
our super bowl party was awesome. we stole couches from the other lounges and brought them into ours, we made insane amounts of food (i did the nachos), we ate pizza and wings, and we were all giants fans. i was nicknamed “mom” by everyone there because i spent most of the time cleaning up, i did the accounting and money collecting/distributing, and i organized everything. lol.

extreme ironing

thanks to handbrake, i was able to upload “extreme ironing” to my computer finally! then i spent two hours adding in subtitles, because some of the audio is a bit hard to make out. i uploaded it to youtube, take a look! (if you’re reading this close to 11:30 EST, it’s probably still processing, check back later).

oh, and liz informed me that the amazing springfest dance is the same dance that okgo! actually did for the music video. i’m amazed that my teachers were able to do it exactly the same, but there’s no doubt about it. i still love watching that, it’s frig-hilar.

so this weekend was fairly lame. i thought my three-day weekend would be super awesome, but it was pretty regular. today was uneventful (lunch, laundry, shower, homework, dinner, tv, screen-caping, etc.). tomorrow is monday though, so i’m totally looking forward to that. not.

and for all of you that haven’t seen that ok go! music video, here’s the youtube link.

having school today was… shmeh. it could have been worse. dinah drove jay and i to rocky mountain pizza for lunch, and then she took me home and we hung out at my house for awhile. mind you that it was only 12:45 in the afternoon. so that was pretty friggin’ amazing, since school lets out at 2:35.

oh, and i got a facebook, finally.

jake: does anyone know what today’s theme is?
campers: 70s day!
jake: right! now, what were the 70s known for?
a camper: music!
jake: yep. so today we’re making instruments for our craft project.
another camper: teddy geiger wasn’t alive in the 70s.
lan: yes, this is true.

my dad made a blog just for his hilarious insider box comics. i love that darn insider box.

hot hot hot

mr. x’s webpage. oh good times man, good times.

friggin’ 100° (38 c) today, 110 (43 c) for the heat index (temp. and humidity). this could have been worse, let me tell you that much. we were not allowed to go outside at all today at camp, so we had to suffer inside in the super cold air conditioning. and by suffer i mean be perfectly comfortable. the kids really wanted to go outside though. at about 10am, we discovered that the water fountain and restrooms weren’t working—turns out a watermain burst. so we got all excited that we were going home early, and they fixed it. it’s funny though, right after we explained to the kids that they couldn’t use the drinking fountain or bathroom, almost every single kid had been holding it “forever” or was about to die of dehydration. and when we told them everything was fixed, their problems suddenly disappeared. i think kids just say things to get on your nerves.
