POST #2004i recently made a post in a livejournal community called craftgrrl with a bunch of photos of crafty stuff i’ve done. it’s here, comment if you want : ) i’m really itching to redesign the site. before i start, i wanted to ask and see if anyone had any ideas of new features i should add, or thing i should get rid of. any feedback is really fantastic.

BINDY IIso, i finished my scrapbook. i managed to fit almost all my stuff (stuff that can be scrapbooked, at least). so i couldn’t help but laugh out loud when i read christian’s comment on yesterday’s post: “a scrapbook is a good idea, you cant go wrong with a little book that holds a whole lot of years.” little? HAH. this scrapbook is INSANITY. some of you may recognize “bindy,” my old binder from 9th-11th grade (i posted about bindy here). he retired at the end of 11th grade, there was no way that binder could make it through another year. i duct taped it to my wall last summer after pulling off the binds with a pair of pliers. so this binder isn’t exactly “bindy,” it’s really a new (to me) 5-inch binder—i didn’t even know they made 5-inch binders—with a facade taped on. |

sicwell, five weeks into my college career and i’m finally sick! last night i felt crappy and this morning i felt worse. unfortunately, the bus to wegmans starts at 12:39, so when i got up at 8, i had like 5 hours to kill. 5 hours of not breathing. luckily we have a freezer full of popsicles, so those helped my throat. and since my roommate is at a softball game (well, three games) in syracuse and my friends all went home for the weekend, i was stuck here by myself. after i went to wegmans (dayquil/nyquil, cereal, dr pepper, teal duct tape, and yet i forgot the all-important box of kleenex), i spent a few hours makin’ stuff (necklaces, bracelets, a duct tape wallet, and earrings). then i watched shaun of the dead. and that is what i did today. |

selling stuffi found this really cool website called etsty. it’s pretty much like a ebay-type marketplace for stuff you make. i bought two scrabble rings and a pair of lego earrings. i was thinking about opening up my own store. the thing is, you need a credit or debit card to do it, since they take 3 cents on every dollar you earn (but that’s totally worth it). i applied for a credit card and a debit card from my bank, but i have absolutely no idea when they’ll be coming. hopefully soon, because i’ve already started making new stuff. so far i’ve made four large plastic bead necklaces, two safety pin and glass bead necklaces, two large plastic bead bracelets, and four artsy buttons. and that’s just the stuff i made today! if i can sell all that i’d make about 100 bucks after they take their 3%. i think this is a cool idea. |
Pinked. My game today was canceled, probably because it rained a lot yesterday. So I got up early for no reason. We got a new TV today. It’s a 27″ Sony. It’s pretty nice. We got it from Sears. My dad and I put it in the cabinet, and it sure was heavy! I sorted more beads today. I started last month but never got very far. And since I recently acquired many more beads (JoAnn’s yesterday and a garage sale last week, courtesy of my mom), I thought I’d start again. It’s proving much harder than I expected. School tomorrow, ugh. Seriously though, ugh. |
