so i went to the mall with liz yesterday. you know what that means: constant staring and having to deal with random people talking about my hair as i pass by. but whatever, i kind of like it now. the best was when a little girl was with her mom about 20 feet behind us. i heard her yell, “PINK HAIR!” and then liz was like, “watch out lan!” i was able to turn around to see the girl running straight for me. but then her mom yelled and she stopped and went back. five minutes later she was still behind us, and she ran at me again, seemingly with her mother’s permission this time, and pulled on my pant leg because i was facing the other direction talking to liz. i turned around and looked at her and she said, “hi! you’re pretty!” and ran back to her mom.
and later that night i hung out with mike. this is when i manged to visit record archive not just once, not twice, but three times in a 5 hour span. you see, when we made plans, i obviously did not take note of the fact he needed a ride, so i’m like at record archive (visit 1) and he calls asking where i am. headdesk much? so i go pick him up and drive back (visit 2). we spent a few hours there, and i got plenty of albums for only $29.62 with tax (bulit to spill: ancient melodies of the future, lostprophets: liberation transmission, the cranberries: wake up and smell the coffee, pulp: separations, and barenaked ladies: rock spectacle).
after going through almost all the the cds and perusing every single vhs (including the classic movie how to hunt majestic elk, brought to you by chevrolet), we left to go to lakeshore. i would like to mention that this was the part of the evening when i parallel parked downtown. yes. anyways, nothing good at lakeshore (what’s new?), but we looked around for quite awhile. after deciding that lakeshore is… quaint, we went back to record archive (visit 3). we went through all the music one more time, because mike was looking for an album he couldn’t find at lakeshore or something. after a very necessary gas fill-up (extreme E) and a wegmans trip, i dropped him off at his house and i went home to be greeted by my parents, a horror movie on the tv, and some microwave burritos. good day.
