all right, it’s decided: i’m going to geneseo. i think geneseo and i are a good fit, and i’m glad that i’m one step closer to this whole college thing.

so, my trip is in 4 days! ah!

got my hair did today. my hair is pink, the tub is pink, the world is thrown back into balance once again.

you know what? i have had only pink hair for exactly one year now! i dyed it atomic pink in december of 2005, the month before it was red and blue. this is historic. having the same hair color all the time is so much easier, and better for my hair since i don’t have to bleach it all when i redye, because the bottom part is already pink.

which reminds me, i have to dye my roots soon.

so i guess i’m doing an exchange with some students from franklin (a high school in the city) on friday. brighton has off that day, so i’m not going to be missing school (is that good or bad?). so far all i know is that about 8 of us are taking a bus there on friday and for the school day we are shadowing some students there. i was chosen along with the other 8 students because we are all of different backgrounds and such, so franklin can see that suburban schools aren’t all blonde white kids (says mr. mitchell). and i have pink hair, i think that’s the main reason mrs. o’brien recommended me (not really, obviously). so yeah, that’ll be cool. the students we shadow will also be coming to school with us next friday, so i’ll get to miss a bit of classes then to do orientations and such ; )

oh, it’s true, i have pink hair: proof in office form.

The first time I dyed my hair purple I vowed never to do it again (this & this). Yet I did it anyway. I’m such a freakin’ idiot. Ugh. I’m redying it ASAP. Seriously though, it gets everywhere. Like for example, today for Dinah’s birthday party we went to Seabreeze and it was really hot out. So I was sweating and my hair was getting sweaty so it was dripping down my forehead. So annoying. So I’d wipe my face with my t-shirt sleeve and my sleeve turned purple. So then to cool down we went on the log ride, which just made my hair even wetter and therefore my skin became even more purple. But I still had a fun time with Dinah, Debbie, Katie (from Alabama, my new best friend), and Greg[gles]. We even got to have free milkshakes afterwards at Bruster’s, where Greg works. I love milkshakes.

Geez, I had a busy day today. First I got up and leisurely watched the beginning of Anchorman. Then my mom got up and took me to get my hair dye. First we stopped at Taco Bell for lunch. After sitting down to eat, guess who came in? My dad! It was kinda weird. He was doing the recycling and decided to go out for mexican for lunch, but the mexican place was closed for Memorial Day so he went to Taco Bell instead. After eating my mom and I continued on our journey to the mall and we bought the dye. They didn’t have any fuchsia so I settled for purple. Then we went home and for 2 hours we bleached my hair as I watched parts of Bruce Almighty, which my sister had on when we got home. Then my mom dyed my hair purple while I watched the end of Anchorman. As we were doing that Marg from down the street came over bring a sheet she wanted typed up for her class (she teaches art to elementary kids). So I did that after my hair was done. Yeah, so it’s purple now. It majorly stained the tub and my mom bleached it so now our bathroom smells like a pool. Seriously. I went upstairs and was like, Dude, when did we get a pool? Uh, yeah so then I did my health term project and ate dinner. Now I’m here and I am planning on doing my math homework due Wednesday because I also have an 8 line poem of iambic pentameter due Wednesday, which I have not started.
