as you can tell in the screenshots, i’ve been working on a new site design since mid-october, and i finally have it the way i want it. the coding is going to be crazy since i’m going to have a lot of different kinds of positioning, but that’s not what this post is about.

i can’t decide on a color! so i’d appreciate it if you helped me out by commenting with the number of the one you like the best. thanks!

i’m really itching to redesign the site. before i start, i wanted to ask and see if anyone had any ideas of new features i should add, or thing i should get rid of. any feedback is really fantastic.

i took a photo of all the sunglasses i currently have in my collection, complete with specs and estimated values. so take a look at that (click on the thumbnail).

my blog turns four today! me and this blog have gone through some pretty crazy things (read: high school), but i’m still here. it’s crazy to imagine that i started all this when i was 13 years old, and that i’m still doing it now that i’m 17 (well, 18 in five days!). this blog contains for information about my life than my brain does, i’m not even kidding. well, here’s to another four– *raises dr pepper can*

so i was working on a custom design last week when i came up with a sample header than my client didn’t like, but i loved. and because i had noticed a lot of things that i wanted to change around the site, i decided to make a new template. the biggest ideas i had to incorperate were a two-coulmned sidebar, and icons with each post (like my livejournal because i love them so such). i kept with the same colour scheme because i still liked that part of the template. everything else just formed around those ideas. i recently learned how to do that starburst thing at the top, so i had to put that in. that’s basically it. tell me if you see any problems in your browser.

the “surprise” will be up tomorrow. i think that pretty much gives away what it is. i just need to do some things at school before. so check back tomorrow morning(ish).

today we had an assembly in the morning about rachel’s challenge. basically it was about rachel scott, the first person killed at columbine, and her “challenge” for people to be kind to others, and set a chain reaction for others to follow suit. the whole assembly was very chilling, and i cried a bit in the middle. i advise you take a look at that website. it’s not the same as hearing about it in person, but it’s better than not hearing it at all.

(and let me just say, most teachers will not be very happy when an entire gymnasium bursts into laughter after learning that chuck norris supports rachel’s challenge.)

in other news, i’m working on a surprise for the site, i think (but hope) you’ll like it.

i start work tomorrow after school. i don’t have to ride the bus luckily, my mom’s going to take me (this is because i forgot to call the bus garage, whoops). i think it’s going to be fun, actually. i’m having a problem distiguishing between my afterschool days and my summer camp days, so i’m looking forward to remember what exactly goes on at the ol’ afterschool program.

and i turned 17 today. it’s hard to believe that i was 13 when i started this. i’ve come a long way. hooray. hurrah. huzzah.

i thought i’d install a plugin to crosspost all my posts to my livejournal. this is so i know that if my site goes ballistic, i’ll still have the posts on livejournal. and so that my friends can read my post on their flists. your welcome.

with money to burn, i bought myself a paid livejournal account. wtf.

to celebrate there’s a new template up. check it out. i’m loving the synicated rss feature, my flist is where it’s at.

well, i’ve finally gotten around to writing the new about page. i’ve written a nice amount of stuff so far, but i think it’s boring and i want to get rid of the lame stuff. so this is your chance to ask me whatever the heck you please! if i like the question enough, i’ll put it on the page, with a link to you if you like. so go ahead, ask away!
