sruthi: what the hell slash HOW the hell do i pack? im SOOO excited we’re like almost neighbors i can’t wait to see you!

lanni: i dunno, man. i’ve been just throwing things i find myself using into a box, because odds are if i use it today, i’ll need it in college, right? but all seven of the harry potter books seem to make a box VERY HEAVY.

sruthi: haha do you “use” all 7 on a daily basis?

lanni: hells yes i do. not really. but what if the occasion presents itself? everyone else will be like, damn, i left my harry potter books at home because they’re huge and heavy, and i’ll be like, aha! i win!

THIS DAY IN HISTORY: MAY 14, 2006, i went to junior prom. i found this to be fitting, since senior prom is coming up pretty soon (next saturday to be exact). notice the skirt/vest combo from last year. people still come up to me and ask me if i was the girl that was dressed to awesomely to prom : )

it makes me sad that my day was so boring that i decided i’d do an old “this day in history,” and then after reading a science joke that i had posted on march 4th in 2004, i had to wikipedia the punchline.

Q: what do you call two heliums during winter?
A: a perihelion!

wiktionary defines perihelion as “the point in the elliptical orbit of a planet or comet etc where it is nearest to the sun.” and wikipedia says, “the earth is closest to the sun in early january.”

there you go, a nice earth science lesson for you all.

on this day in history

on december 14, 2005, i had this to say:

spiderham, spiderham
he’s not a turkey, he’s spiderham!
he tastes good at thanksgiving dinner
he’s such an awesome web spinner
he’s spiderham, spiderham

spiderham, spiderham
spiderspan, spiderspam
he’s the arch enemy of spiderham!
he comes in a rectangular can
he has a master evil genius plan
he’s spiderspam, spiderspam
spiderspam, spiderspam

and the winner is… take a look!
