since this morning i have gotten a ridiculous amount of comment spam on old posts, so for the time being i have set the comment moderation to “comment author must have a previously approved comment” in order for it to avoid the moderation queue.

thanks to my dad, i have added two new wordpress plugins that i hope will solve this problem. comments are now back to how they were. thanks dad!

good:
my teacher is awesome. when he gave us back our lesson plans and evaluations, he clipped everyone’s papers with silver paper clips, except for mine, in which he used a pink paper clip.

bad:
i found out today that for my school observations i can’t have my pink hair showing. stupid squares and their stupid rules. well, i have a blonde wig that i’ll be wearing. i’ll pretend i’m undercover or something.

I HAVE LESS THAN 1 GB OF FREE SPACE ON MY HARD DRIVE.

what do i do?

ETA: it might have something to do with the fact that i have 135 GB of itunes stuff, and a 185 GB hard drive.

i like this hard drive. oh, and this one too.

well i have been stuck on “epic fail” for the past few days.

(1) yesterday was obvs “let’s all do things that creep miss m out” day at FRES. it all started out when a boy walked into the room in the morning with a ginormous beetle on him. i almost jumped onto a table, i swear. a few minutes later, a girl walks in, her previously very long hair now cut short. i said, “cute haircut!” and she came over to me, pulled out a shoebox from her backback, and proceeded to show me a box full of her hair. A BOX FULL OF HER HAIR. soooooooo effing creepy. the teacher and i told her she had to put it in her locker, half for sanitary reasons, and half because we were so creeped out. and to top it all off a girl lost her tooth after recess. and we all know how much i hate seeing: a) loose teeth, b) teeth not inside mouths, c) places were teeth used to be but aren’t any longer, and d) blood. ew.

(2) i’ve been constantly worrying about money lately. like to extreme proportions. but i feel it’s justified. when i started high school i started saving my money. when i graduated high school, i had saved around $6,000. now that i have recently finished my first year of college, i have around $3,500. WTF WAS I DOING ALL YEAR? i’m really mad at myself right now. so mad that i bought $127 worth of shoes this morning.

(3) why are kids so keen to point out every single one of your faults CONSTANTLY? it’s seriously driving me insane. i know why i suck, guys! i don’t need to be reminded! ETA: although today the kids gave the counselors awards, and i got “most awesome pink haired counselor.” very cute : )

see some flaws in these plans? all the times overlap. and how the hell am i going to get from place to place on my BIKE? it’s going to suck bumming rides off my mom all the time, but i really can’t see how i can get from french road elementary school to work (late) and then leave brighton rec (early) to go to class (on time). i really hate being dependent on people to get me places on time.

last night officially made the record book for the latest i’ve stayed up on a school night, just passing the 2:45am bedtime i had after seeing the midnight release of spiderman 3 last year.

and i think my exams went not… bad. def didn’t ace any, but def didn’t fail either. we’ll see.

2 more days of hell week, and then brand new and reel big fish on sunday!

yesterday i misjudged where a wall was a accidentally ran into it.

today i got asked five billion times why my face looks like this:

( megan recommended i tell people i got in a barfight, because saying, “oh, i ran into a wall,” sounds really lame. and it is. )

guess where i went on friday!? brighton rec! it was great to see everyone again (although my favorite sibling duo were not there, sadly). and i showed becky the super secret handbook (it’s just a summer camp manual full of games, crafts, songs, coloring pages, puzzles, and other activity ideas), and she loved it! she said she wants to makes copies for everyone. that’s awesome. i knew working on that thing for so long (months, believe it or not) would pay off.

so… i have three midterms tomorrow. but i’ve luckily bypassed the freakout stage and have moved right on to the veryveryvery busy stage where i lock myself in the room and leave my computer turned off for 8+ hours. but i was itching to turn it on, so here we are. well, i should get back to work. see you tomorrow night, maybe.

lyndsey from work wrote this on my wall yesterday after i asked her how february break camp was going: “summer and roman today were like why isn’t lanni here? lanni should be here, she’s fun!” aw. i miss brighton rec!

i got all my exam scores back (at least the ones i took):

CHEM 103: 85
CALC II: 80
PSYCH 215: 86

so yeah, that 80 is the lowest math exam score i’ve gotten in a few years. ugh, i’m not going to do well this semester, in any classes it seems. damn.

oh, and the cullen family has been cast for the twilight movie. what do you twilight fans think? personally, emmett isn’t as bulky as i had imagined, and jasper is bit shorter than i’d thought. otherwise i think they look great!

at 4:38pm today i locked my door, grabbed a dr pepper, and opened my chem notebook.

i didn’t unlock the door until 10:26pm.

that’s 5 hours and 38 minutes of studying, not counting the 15 minute break i took at 7:45pm to read a chapter from the subtle knife and to eat a granola bar because my hand hurt and i was hungry.

i better friggin’ pass this chem test. gah.

(and i’m sorry to all the people that knocked on my door that i ignored, and for not answering my phone.)
