(1) i waited in line for four and a half hours in order to purchase a bus ticket for my suitemate lauren, who couldn’t stand in line as she’s away for the weekend. man, she owes me!

(2) my dad and i found a multicache that we attempted to find two times in the past, which was very satisfying.

(3) we got stared at by a llama.

(4) we also did some light rock climbing and climbed to the bottom of the fallbrook falls gorge. let me just say, going down is a lot easier than going up. man, today my arms are really realy sore.

(5) and today i didn’t break my budget at the grocery store. and i spent $17 in coins! hahaha i’m obnoxious.

i had a pretty swell memorial day weekend. highlights:
- i got to see stevie on sunday! i didn’t even know he was coming back until i got to a party at my aunt and uncle’s house and he was there! and now would be a good time for a shout-out to all the schlitzer’s who read this — hey guys.
- i saw two movies in theaters with jon this weekend — forgetting sarah marshall and speedracer. both were equally excellent.
- i “cleaned” my room. cleaned is in quotes because, i’m not going to lie, it wasn’t dirty to begin with. yet i am still able to find ways to tidy up. life is grand!
- my debit card is hidden (to prevent me from overspending, summer is killing me already!).
- my hair is repinked.

it’s been a kind of stressful weekend, but what’s new?

i failed one of my three tests and passed the other two.

today was really fun, actually! chelsea, kaitlin, emily, jamie, christine and i all went to the geneseo family resturant for dinner (ham and cheese!). afterwards we took a walk around the campus perimeter so that we could go into genesee, the dorm room we’re all living in next year. it’s so nice! i’m super excited. i’m in an 8-person suite with sruthi, megan, janine, lauren, tommi, linsdey, and elly.

and then we went to midnight bowling, which was awesome. i scored a 149, 109, and 138. not bad : )

i accomplished a lot today (read: i really didn’t do anything). let’s see… i bought a new lamp for my bedroom that makes it seem like it’s daylight, like i had in my old room. now it’s kind of like a gas station, or a car dealership. i find this awesome. my family finds it blinding.

oh, and i babysitted today, for those girls i babysitted a few months ago. one is 10, the other is 5. we played a game and watched she’s the man. it was only for 2.5 hours, so it was pretty alright. they behaved fine, so i had a good time. highlights included a new hair style for me, a greater understanding of the game “deal or no deal,” and balloon animals.

i spent most of today thinking it was friday. at 2:30pm i was like, crap, i have to go to work and i’m not ready! but then i realized it was actually saturday. yet when my dad came home at 4pm, i asked him why he was home from work so early. *headdesk*

then stabby and i got in a discussion of terrible ways we get confused.

• when you are going up the stairs and you think there is one more step than there really is, and you step right through it. then afterwards you feel all weird and out of whack.
• when you are talking on your cellphone and you say to the person you’re conversing with, “damn, i can’t find my cellphone!”
• when you’re sitting in the car after you turn it on to listen to the radio, and you spend five minutes urgently searching for something. when you sister asks you what’s wrong you shout, “i can’t find my damn car keys!”

i also watched the entire first and only season of wonderfalls last night and this morning. all 13 episodes. oh man. i remember seeing commercials for it on fox, but never wanting to watch it. i really liked it though. but i’m not going to lie, the only reason i watched it was because lee pace (ned of pushing daisies) was in it. *sigh*

went home this weekend. friday was a stabby day (movie: the golden compass, dinner: wild noodles). the movie was awesome. the golden compass and the other books in the trilogy have been tied with the harry potter series for years ever since my dad gave me the books for christmas. i obviously loved the books infinity times more, but the movie was pretty darn good. except it ended extremely abruptly, guaranteeing that they are doing the next two books too. which is awesome. the third is my favorite, even though i bawl upon finishing it. so what, i’m a girl.

today was a curls day (movie: i am legend, shopping: record archive). curls, her bf jon, and i saw i am legend at the imax theater, which i haven’t been to in years. it’s amazing. but watching a scary movie in it is a little unnerving, i’m not going to lie. the movie was still fantastic though. and record archive was awesome. i got a cd for myself (under the influence of giants’ self-titled album) and a cd for a christmas present. good day.

i’m back at the ’seo, drove myself in the car that now has a glove compartment that’s velcroed shut and a trunk that takes me 15 minutes to break into. oh, and no hub caps. but it does have three snow tires now. but not four.

surprise, surprise — i spent the weekend in the roc. but of course i had a reason: the hair. it’s pink(er)! so that was my saturday activity. oh, and liz and i (mostly) switched bedrooms. everything is switched except for our beds, because we have to take them apart.

and today i picked up mike and we went to the pitts-pla barnes and noble (spent friggin’ two hours there, probably a record) and then good ol’ walmart for an hour. mike’s hilarious, i’m glad some of my friends are still in rochester. it was a good day.
